PRINCETON, N.J. Sophomore Alexis Hatcher and graduate student Jacob Platel each set a school record, highlighting Binghamton s performance at the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Track Championships this weekend. The meet was hosted by Princeton University.

Hatcher, who was third in the 3,000 Steeplechase at the America East Championships two weeks earlier, was 11th overall. Her time of 10:48.3 eclipsed the school record of 10:48.88 set by Lindsay Raulli in 2012.

Platel, meanwhile, was sixth in the hammer with a distance of 197-8. That shattered the program record of 189-6 which he set back on April 12 at the West Point Open

Up next for Binghamton is the East Regional Meet, which will be held May 29-31 at North Florida. The top 48 performances in each event from the Eastern half of the country will advance to that meet. The final list will be released this week.

NOTE: Freshman Eric Holt competed this weekend at the Virginia Tech Hokie Twilight Meet. He was third in the 1,500 with a time of 3:48.94, which was his personal-best time.
